Jane Yolen - She says that writers experience Joy. Gathering and Ducks. She says writers should write for Joy. There are days of joy. There are gathering days. There are days that are gobbled up by ducks. Most days are joy.

Carol Chapman - She writes about a boy named Barney Bipple. These book are dripping with imagination. I absolutely love them!

Illustrators

Steven Kellogg -  you just have to see his work. It's amazing. Check him out in the Barney Bipple books.
David Shannon -  My favorite of his books is The Fairy (about a young girl who pretends to be a tooth fairy.) His simple designs are fun and artistic.
